Job Description : A Sewing Machine Operator, also called a ‘Stitcher or Machinist’ is an important job-role associated with Apparel sector. The primary responsibility of a machinist is to stitch/ sew fabric, fur, or synthetic materials to produce apparels.

Job Description : Hand embroiderer (Addawala) is responsible for creating design along with the tracings done on to the fabric. The hand embroiderer uses variety of sewing techniques to create different kinds of embroidery stitches & effects such as Cross stitch, French knot stitch, Bullion knot stitch, Shade work, Appliqué work, English Smocking etc. as well as uses decorative stones to fix for embellishments. The job requires the hand embroiderer to have the skills to stitch a variety of Flat stitches, Loop stitches and Knotted stitches.

Job Description : A sampling tailor is responsible for developing garment sample as per buyer’s specifications in the apparel industry. A sampling tailor should be able to perform basic fabric cutting operations and stitchgarments of various designs with different necklines,sleeves, collar etc. as per the quality standards. This job requires the individual to have thorough knowledge of measurements, garment styles, sampling & apparel production processes and should be able to sew garments with different materials & trims.
